Cricket Balls

Cricket ball  is made with a core of cork wrapped in layers of string,

which isthen covered by a four-piece leather case. The leather pieces

are stitched together with a prominent, raised seam to form the ball's surface.

For high-quality balls, the leather is often hand-stitched, and a lacquer is applied

to the exterior for shine and durability.
